A meeting was held with Dario Quaranta, International Advisor for Free Zones at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and D. Jigjidmaa, Senior Specialist at the IFC.
During the meeting, the development plan of the Khushig Valley Free Economic Zone and the work accomplished to date were presented to the IFC representatives. The parties exchanged views on potential areas and directions for future cooperation.
As the World Bank Group institution responsible for private sector projects, the International Finance Corporation has consistently contributed to Mongolia’s development by financing infrastructure projects, providing loans and advisory services, and supporting the establishment of a favorable legal and regulatory environment to improve the business climate.
Currently, the IFC is implementing a technical assistance project for the Emeelt Industrial Park. During the meeting, the importance of prioritizing the development of strategies to attract investors and strengthen cooperation was emphasized.
In addition, the IFC representatives expressed their readiness to support initiatives in the information technology sector, particularly in the construction of data centers, and to facilitate connections with international experts as well as reputable and professional companies.
